Crunchyroll Grabs Some New Anime Series

Tegami Bachi and Hadaka no Ōkami join the party.

Crunchyroll has announced that they will simulcast Tegami Bachi anime on Saturday, October 3 at 8:30 PDT. Tegami Bachi, or Letter Bee anime is a story about a boy who delivers letters as some kind of cute letter bee thing to people in a world full of fantasy. Unless he delivers letter bombs, or letters full of anthrax, it doesn’t sound like a show for me, but you never know.

They will also be simulcasting Pony Canyon’s Hadaka no Okami (Naked Wolves) anime today, showcasing the first 25 episodes. The 26th episode will then be simulcast on Monday. This anime is actually a Flash-animated television series, and is about one man’s journey to become the greatest sumo wrestler. Basically One Piece with sumo wrestlers.

Dig Deeper into Crunchyroll

Originally created as something of a specialty YouTube for anime and other Japanese media and consisting primarily of illicit fansubs, in 2008 CrunchyRoll established deals to legally distribute some popular anime series simultaneous to their Japanese airing.
