Crime Never Pays, If You Get Caught

Four would-be thieves are caught stealing some potentially valuable Kara no Kyoukai merch.

In honor of Awa Odori, the Awa Dance Festival, Tokushima City managed to score some beautiful posters featuring characters from Kara no Kyoukai.  They were so beautiful, in fact, that a group of four people-- with genders and ages varying widely, both male and female and ages 20-60+ -- managed to get arrested for trying to steal the posters. (Word is that a local newspaper suggested that they'd be worth a lot.)

Still though; men, women, and a very random age smattering? For some reason I'm imagining a group of people who met on the 'net...

Is it just me, or are there a lot of thieves among the Kara no Kyoukai fans? Back in June '08, ufotable had an art exhibit for the films at their cafe, and three cases of art were stolen from the displays. What's up with that?

I don't really like Shiki's face in this poster.

We Type-Moon fans just love our Kara no Kyoukai. Right up there next to Fate/Stay Night of course.

@Void_Wizard: Oh? Is it the half smile she has going on there, or something else?

@Schwindelmagier: I will say that she looks a bit more generic than I'm used to seeing her. But it is just a promo poster for a local event.

I wish they'd actually release some official KnK posters sometime... this one looks beautiful, but obviously stealing is wrong.

She looks too happy in that poster... Shiki has smiled, what, twice so far?

Judging from that age range, I kinda doubt it's necessarily KnK fans that are stealing them. It's like that incident a while back of those French kids stealing consoles from stores in Akiba and then selling them back to other ones. Were they necessarily gamers? who knows... all that matters is that they knew they could make a quick buck doing it, and that there were enough people willing to pay for them.  I mean, when even a local newspaper mentions that something like this would be valuable, that should immediately send up some red flags.

And Gia, I can pretty much guarantee you there's more indecent acts by (insert major show here - ex. Haruhi/Gundam) fans regularly, the difference between them is the more unusual the circumstances, the more likely it is to get reported.
