For one school in Japan, keeping kids in classes isn't hard as keeping them out. Hyogo Prefectural Nishinomiya North may not seem too noteworthy, but it's apparently the model for the high school in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
An anime mecca of sorts, otaku have taken their pilgrimage to the next level,
and have been repeatedly found trespassing inside school premises. The issue has become so serious that the school has issued statements on their about how they intend to get serious with said offenders.
The school offers, as an alternative, that such fanatics should just obsessively watch the music video for Yasahii Bokyaku (by Minori Chihara.)
The theme song for the Haruhi movie was apparently shot at the school itself. Of course, I think I'll just sate myself on these comparison shots, and just skip the in person tour.
Then again, if the series creator Nagaru Tanigawa
did base it off this school, maybe there's something we're missing. Maybe they really do have awesome rock concerts, and just don't tell people.
