Community Spotlight 6/7/12

The variety of the submissions in this spotlight are nearly as astounding as Fujiko Mine's... charms.

Hope everyone in the Anime Vice Community enjoyed the month of May now that we're well into the start of June. The Summer season of anime has brought us a variety of amazing series. My sleeper hit has to be DUSK MAIDEN OF AMNESIA, and that's currently available on The Anime Network. Even if this isn't your style, Tom has been covering EUREKA SEVEN AO. & LUPIN III: THE WOMAN CALLED FUJIKO MINE. Are any of you checking out some of these new series?

The wiki database has had a lot of excellent additions this week. So many great pages created by the community, and I love seeing this variety. I really hope you all are sharing your work with other anime fans outside the community. More people deserve to see your works.

Wonderful Wikis

While last week we spotlighted Daniel_Newton joining the 100K Wiki Club. In that time, we had another member not only join the club, but surpassed Daniel in points. That honor goes to Wales. A big round of applause to both of these new inductees.

Anime AMV Showcase

The past two weeks I've been finding some really excellent AMVs. It's going to be very hard to maintain that level of quality in my searches on YouTube. The AMV I found this week is pretty fair, but I felt the creator got a little carried away with their effects at times. It seems to focus on some rather violent anime heroines, but it could have stood to include a few more characters. It's still enjoyable. I always have a weak point for Saeko Busujima.

Remember, if you would like to submit something for the Spotlight. You can send me a PM, but please be sure to add "Spotlight" to the subject line. I can't stress how important that is because it might just be lost in my Inbox when I clear it.Even if you have worked on something yourself and are really proud of your work. Get to work, and make more content for the next Spotlight!! Jana!!

Major props to everyone who has had their work featured in this week's AV Spotlight (either in the blogs or wiki database)!

For everyone interested in the Persona 4 Arena fighting game that arrives this summer, here is the trailer from E3:

I've been waiting for that trailer. I wanted to confirm something for an article I'm putting together.

@FoxxFireArt: Glad to help in regards to providing the trailer. I look forward to this game whenever it officially launches this summer.

Congrats everyone!

I would like to thank my teammates for a job well done in the blogs and wiki for Legend of Korra, Fairy Tail, Beelzebub, Guilty Crown, Ring X Mama, Sket Dance, and the Spring Anime 2012 Anthology project.

It wouldn't be possible without you guys.

I think I reached 300,000 points one day after Wales reached over 100,000 points.

Good stuff everyone.

I especially like the articles for Cherry Blossoms and Rice Balls. Yum.

The AMV is good but the edited version of the song was user. Such a bummer.

Congrats to the hardworking users.
