Community Spotlight: 12/2/11

Stop scouring for amazing deals for one second and check out this week's community spotlight!

We're back from the break, and it's time for the Anime Vice Community Spotlight. I know I enjoyed the week off with all the cooking I had to do. Little news was made over the week, but sotyfan16 wrote an article for Irritating Endings. Nick and I also gave our thoughts on last week's Persona 4 episode, and it made for some good discussion. We also learned over the break week that One Piece Vol. 64 shattered sales records. Not to mention that this week Godlen's coverage of One Piece may have shown a huge change for the Straw Hat Pirates.

Wonderful Wikis

We have a new user to the wiki, Sophronimos, who has been steadily adding a lot of new manga series and characters to the wiki. He joined Anime Vice back in November. I hope you all will check out his profile and leave a post on his wall to make him feel welcome.

Streamline Story Arc Initiative

Anime Vice is working to streamline our wiki to make it stronger. These are some pages that could use some work from our wiki editors. Each have special bounties assigned.

Congrats everyone to those who got involved in making those wiki edits, blogs, and thoughtful comments. Let's keep going. I wanted to give a shout out to my teammates who did a great job despite that finals are around the corner. Good job Kuro and Arrussel for your awesome weekly blogs! I thank Anna and ShadowKnight508 for being there to lend a hand.

Shoutout to whoever (probably Foxxfireart) that put the relevant Endurance Run episode for Persona 4 The Animation Episode 8 page. I actually skimmed though the Endurance Run episode and the entire camping trip only took up about 20minutes.

Which means the P4 Animation episode 8 which features the camping trip, is just about the same length as it is shown in the P4 game (not counting opening and ending). Which means my earlier complaints about the episode being rushed and felt too sit-com-ey, wasn't because a lot was compressed into a single episode, but rather it was probably because of the how well-animated the P4 Animation series is. If you compare it to the game, there's so much more animation to set your eyes on, so I guess that's why it felt more rushed in the series.

That said, really amazing job to everyone on the wiki and blogs. I really envy some of those episode pages, I should really get into the habit of filling out the credits, objects, concepts and locations. Lastly, good luck to any fellow college/university students around the world preparing for exams at this time.

Good work to everyone mentioned in this double issue. Keep helping provide for the site to make it better. Finals and the holidays are here so it will be harder to write blogs and such so don't push yourselves.

I'm battling myself on what to write next but I will have some more content for next week.

AnimeVice Community is credit to team! Congrats are in order for everyone who's hard work in the wiki or forums via their blogs was featured in this week's AV Community Spotlight. Seeing two of the wiki pages that I worked hard on be featured along with my 11th hour blog regarding the "quasi-anime" segment that Community featured last night is awesome.
