I do have more manga then comic books but that dose not mean I don't like comic too, like The Walking Dead. It's all about a matter of taste. One of the reasons I like manga more is because strated reading it before I read comics. Well I did look throght some of the my friends Star Wars comics before any manga but I not counting that because I just read some issues. I really didn't compeate read any.
My objective wasn't to be divisive in any way, but to point out the challenges that are met by both parties.
Some people in the US claim all manga looks alike, while saying US comics all have subtle styles. Well, that's easy to say it you haven't read many mangas has you have US series.
It's a point of perspective. I would imagine in Japan they would say the same thing about US comics. That all US comics look the same, and Japanese manga are all subtly different. It's about perspective.
It's easy to see subtle differences in something when you are familiar with it in detail.
@inferiorego:
Thank you. You are quite kind. I am a tad disappointed in my defense of US series, as I've mentioned before.
Manga or Comics? It's all just trashy, sensationalist pablum for the entertainment of simple, otherwise-unoccupied minds... AND I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT ALL!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!
*typing alone in the dark*
I used that term because it was a hell of a lot easier to point out what the vast majority of comics published in the US are. I didn't want this to be about a single publisher, Marvel/DC/Image; but about the overall art of the series. The facts are the vast majority of comics in the US are about super heroes. I wasn't going to analyze every series out there. As I said in the opening. I didn't want this to become a thesis.
ahh don't worry about it. it still came off great
