Brand New POKEMON Coming for Black and White

You'll know what these three's outlines are, at least.

What secrets lurk behind the shadows?
What secrets lurk behind the shadows?

If you’ve ever used a metal detector, you’ll know that all kinds of treasures can be hidden in the beach. It would figure, then, that a Pokebeach would have the equivalents as they pertained to Pokemon.  Recently, the site got a screencap of the silhouettes POKEMON SUNDAY ran on its last episode in Japan. What pocket monsters, pray tell, have been blacked out here? That hasn’t been revealed yet. What HAS been revealed is that these are the three starter Pokemon players will get in BLACK & WHITE.

If you just can’t wait to find out what these Pokemon really are, you’ve got something of a staggered schedule of spoilers, official revelations and speculation ahead of you. Joystiq is pretty sure that these Water, Fire and Grass-types, in keeping with Nintendo’s tradition, for starters.  Their official looks are supposed to be revealed in the next issue of CoroCoro Magazine, and the leaked scans of that ought to hit the net faster than a zapping Pikachu. Of course, if you want to wait the old fashioned way, POKEMON SUNDAY’s going to lift the veil, officially, in the next episode.  However, if you still can’t wait, if you’ve got ants in your pants, if you want/desire/needi a look at these… Pokebeach actually has a good number of fanarts visualizing what they could look like.

I must be the only one impressed with their ability to create new ones.

yes i suppose, seeing as they are now trying to mish mash pokemons
Jlynnanaon May 11, 2010 at 4:46 a.m.
Pokemon The original scheme has been dead @ 251. So those complaining about them creating more Pokemon should simply not pay it any attention. Pokemon is one of Nintendo highest grossing games, you don't just throw away a cash cow, because your tired of the milk it produces, you milk it until it's dead. Same thing here
cfatalison May 11, 2010 at 4:55 a.m.
hey i am not complaning that they made new pokemons, i will complain about it's gameplay graphics though

KH: 385/2 have proven good graphic and ds can exist in the same note, so at least make the pokemon actually do something other than slapping the attack graphic between them

Agreed

I feel sorry for all those people who spend hours catching every pokemon on each game, only to find out another 5000 pokemon have been created for 200 more games to be made.

I finished my Pokedex for Platinum and haven't even gotten the heart to start catching anything outside of what I want to train in SoulSilver...Baaah. There are far too many -- and nothing really past a few Hoenn additions really piqued my interest. These shadows don't really make me think of positive images either. The top-center one makes me think of a Pikachu/Marill cross.

Back in my day, it was actually possible to catch every single Pokemon without losing nearly all of your sanity!

The one on the right is water the one up top is probably grass and the one on the left is probably fire, although grass wouldn't suprise me either.

Those shadows really looks like a mashup of older pokemons...  I cant put my finger on it but they do feel awfully familiar... by part.

I don't want them.
