Those of you who are really familiar with yaoi know that not all of it is explicit, but certainly a fair amount of it is pretty hardcore. The Sakai City Library has a yaoi collection worth about $40,000 USD, and briefly flirted with restricting loans of BL materials to minors-- after a few citizens complained that the collection somehow sexually harassed library-goers, as well as being harmful to children.

Now, however, they've reversed the decision after complaints that restricting the loan of any book to any group is “unbecoming” of a library. The city says that its original decision was hasty and ill-advised, hence the reversal.

I hereby move that a few of us march to the library (from the airport) and complain that the library shouldn't discriminate against readers outside of Japan to see if we can get some free manga loans?
