BLEACH Ch. 594 Review

Turn around and meet the hater! Violator! Desecrator!

Wacca, wacca!
Wacca, wacca!

Love him or hate him. You'll fight your heart out for Pepe Waccabrada if you fall under his spell.

The Good

Well, Giselle has certainly been busy.
Well, Giselle has certainly been busy.

I was very pleased that the time loop from last week didn't make a return appearance. I enjoyed it, but one chapter was enough. However, I'm not really sure about the drastic and rather literal turn in direction the whole chapter takes part way through. I was really just getting into the battle of Kurotsuchi andHitsugaya, then things got even more crazy has Giselle reveals even more of her Soul Reaper collection. I was on the edge of my seat, then Pepe happened.

I probably would have been more upset if the brawl we come to wasn't starring Byakuya. He's a very entertaining character, and we've yet to get a better grasp on his growth after his training. I don't want to see the aftermath of his battles to prove how strong he can be. I want to see the action taking place. Seems as if we're getting a little of both.

The Bad

The sudden jump cut from the thrilling action to something that is really bizarre left me feeling both cheated and confused. It's not as if the whole issue of Giselle has been pacified. Heck, she hasn't even appeared in the last two chapters. Although, in a weird way that makes me more nervous. If she's not there, could she be out making more of her zombies? I guess that could be seen as a weird sort of pro/con issue depending on taste.

Verdict 3/5

I think I would have felt more upset if Kubo hadn't earned some major leeway with me over the past few months. With some patience, he's surprised me with how entertaining the Vandenreich vs. 13 Court Guard battles can be. This chapter does confirm some of my darkest fears. That Giselle has been lurking in the background and infecting the fallen characters with her blood to add to her zombie army. Who knows if there are others she's yet to reveal?

Ultimately, this is an entertaining but very confusing chapter. It's as if Kubo is teasing us and switching gears from out of no where. I just hope it's with some purpose that's quickly explained. I'm not going to make any broad claim that this Pepe guy doesn't have any potential. I'm going to hold off on being too harsh of a judge until I see what happens in the following chapter.

Seriously I don't even know what the f*ck is going on in Bleach anymore. Who are this people? No, really, WHO THE F*CK ARE THEY? Ever since this fight started is been just weirdo after weirdo after weirdo, all of them with massive exposition speeches about how their power is the deadliest one of them all just to be ass kicked the second they end their explanation.

It's the same shit that happened to Naruto when the war started, all over again. But at least in Naruto Kishimoto tried (I want to recall that he TRIED not that he succeded with it -in fact he pretty much failed miserably) to give them some sort of backstory. They were the deadliest warriors ever known in the ninja world brought back to life by the main villain (or what we thought was the main villain at that point). There was a reason to fear them even though they ended up being dissapointing, but here? who the hell are this people?? WHY SHOULD I (or anyone) CARE ANYMORE???

I mean, the main character are not even here anymore, the main villain isn't here as well and the whole plot has move forward. Sure the battle continues, but NO ONE CARES ABOUT RANDOM FIGHTS BETWEEN RANDOM FIGHTERS.

@tximinoman:

I stop caring (around the fullbringer arc), I just here for the ride. The fights have been very entertaining (unlike Naruto)

Anyway, they are the Quincies who came back for there revenge on the Shinigami. Them being weird, is because they are outcast who was save by Yhwach (there backstory is link to there powers)

I have a feeling Kubo is having a blast with this arc

Anyway, I kind of enjoy this chapter. Like that Gigi have been busy, be cool if she have an army of dead Shinigami. But, Pepe is a clone of Zommari. That the one downside to this

hopefully the next chapter will clear up some of this. though are all the zombies permenantly dead or what? they still seem to be sentient.
