By sacrificing his own heart, Sajin Komamura has created a bankai that exists with no life and can never be killed, Dangai Joue. Will this be a winning wager in the battle against the ruthless Bambietta Basterbine?
Back when I first went to see THE AVENGERS movie, I went in caring little for the characters Thor and Hulk. They personally just don't appeal to me that much. However, their brawl on the Helicarrier is one of my favorites of the film. That's the same kind of vibe I'm getting with this latest battle in BLEACH.
I've never really cared much for the character Sajin before in the series. Heck, I barely even knew how to spell his name until recently. Can you blame me? He hardly ever did much in the series. Although, he certainly has my attention now. I don't mean to give the impression that this will be the best battle of the final arc. I'm just impressed that Kubo took a character that I cared little about and got me so invested in the outcome.
You'll have heroes that figuratively put their life on the line in shōnen action. Sajin did it literally. That's some impressively loyalty.
I can't really see much of a downside here. With maybe the exception that this seems to have been summed up a smidgen too fast. The battles have normally lasted longer, and I get this nagging feeling that this isn't the actual end for Bambietta.
These are normally the sort of 'all-in' events that is hard to pull off outside of a finale arc. I almost wonder how long Kubo has kept this plan in his back pocket, because this seems like something he had planned a long time back. If you've been wanting some surprises and twists in BLEACH, you're sure getting them recently. This is some good story telling all around.
