Black Lagoon’s Creator to Make Appearance at Anime Expo

It just got real.

With Anime Expo just around the corner, we are starting to hear about more and more of special guests attending this convention. Their newest special guest is Rei Hiroe, the creator of the Black Lagoon manga. Black Lagoon for those of you who do not know is a seinen manga title (meaning more adult), about pirates, guns, short jean shorts, and tons of action. Two anime seasons have been created so far, and both are available in the west.

While at Anime Expo, Rei Hiroe will announce the anime’s third season, named Black Lagoon: Roberta’s Blood Trail. This season will primarily focus on Roberta, that crazy maid that serves the Lovelace family. Hopefully while he is there he will also have a question and answer panel, and give us the opportunity to have him scribble his name on all of our stuff. I am also praying that he has some kind of trailer for this new season, because that would be amazing. So who is going to show up to the expo now?

I need to re-check out Black Lagoon. I watched the first few episodes with a friend at 3-4 AM and we both fell asleep.

It's not just an announcement. The expo will also be having a premiere of the OAV's first episode.

I've never actually been to an anime convention before.

I'm kind of looking forward to this. I really liked the Roberta character. I actually have not read the Black Lagoon arc that this part covers. I know some scanlation sites that have it. I just haven't bothered to go read it yet.
It sucks that the manga was released by VIZ.

@FoxxFireArt:
I haven't read the manga myself but the anime is glorious. I went a con in STL but it's real small so I want to get a big one, too.

There has already been a trailer out for Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail at another con awhile back and it looks cool but I want my Black Lagoon Company more than anything else as I want to see what happens between Rock and Revy.
