Who would win in an all out battle if Full Metal Panic’s Sagara Sousuke led the red coats against the revolutionary army led by Black Lagoon’s Revy?

Rules
The rules of this competition are simple, it’s killed or be killed. This will be settled within one battle, so everyone will be able to go all out. Though the general does not need to be killed in order to win, only 99% of the forces must be destroyed. Each side will have 1,000 soldiers, with each possessing weapons and equipment of that period. Both generals came to this time with nothing modern on them besides the clothing on their backs. Each general was given a day before the battle to train their troops, but is a day long enough to break old habits?Setting
The setting for this battle will be Lexington, during the first battle of the war (and the last). Here both armies will start on opposite ends of the common, and go from there. The battlefield consists of a large open field, and a nearby town, for both cover and open warfare.Sagara Sousuke
Seventeen-year-old Saousuke is a one man fighting machine with the paramilitary force Mithril. He was raised as a child soldier in Afghanistan, thusly he grew up knowing everything about fighting and the military, but nothing about everyday life. He is skilled in almost every aspect, from logistics, to all types of weapon use, to hand to hand combat. He possesses no social skills, and can sometimes loose his cool in the heat of battle, but only if something attacks him emotionally.
Revy
Revy, or Rebecca was born and raised in Manhattan’s Chinatown. Her youth was spent as a thief, murderer, and an overall no good trouble maker. She is extremely violent and would kill anyone for no particular reason other than they looked at her funny; her personal mantra is that bruit force is the answer to everything. Revy was not professionally trained in her combat arts, she learned them the hard way on the streets and her life as a pirate. One enormous problem Revy constantly faces is loosing her cool in battle, almost like going berserk. Worst of all she swears too much, upsetting children and mothers around the world.
The Battle
Like the rugby team before it, Sagara will use the day before the actual battle to transform his humble red coats into deadly killing machines. There is a good chance that Sagara will overwork these soldiers in the process as well. Revy will give her rebel forces a brief overview on what to do in battle, but will spend most of her time drinking, and smoking.Unlike the real battle, this one won’t begin with the forces lining up in formations across from each other. No, this will look more like a modern day war thanks to Sagara’s training. His number one objective will be to take the red coats into the town of Lexington and fortify the buildings with his soldiers. The revolutionary army will not be expecting this, thusly giving the British an opportunity to take a few buildings easily.
Revy will most likely grab as many weapons as she can and charge into battle herself, destroying everyone she comes across. Sagara on the other hand will stay with his troops and give them orders, only fighting when his troops are in position.

You really can' feel any sympathy for her victims when they are a bunch of Neo Nazi wanna-bes.
I noticed something about that picture of Revy you used. It looks like the filter on her cigarette is on the wrong end.
Sagara also stresses under rushed battle conditions (such as Revy's are). At first glance I would have thought Sagara would be the victor but with the battle taking place with old weapons the winner would be decided by who acts first and can last the longest.
My thoughts on Revy are that she is hot, deprived (horny), and a total bitch. I love the way she talks but she doesn't process information and emtions very well. In short, I don't know what man could handle her but I'd give it a try at least.
Revy would take it home. Sorry, England.
In real wordl, Revy would lose.
Because in modern or ancient warfare, the next things worse than a disarmed troop is a disorganized and isolated one.
Battle were battled that way for a reason : Old guns are precise enough. You could miss someone at, what Thirteen meters with an old musket. Chance are that Revy would have been trouble to adapt to the low technology of this era.
In old warfare, soldier had more to fear disease and dying from malnutrition and exhaustion than actual combat.
The french were believing i the strenght of bayonet untill 1914, it was stupid from them then, but before, in the napoleonic war, it was the ultimate infantry tactics because firepower was really bad, but number of gun availlable and easy training compensated that. (Count 6 week to teach a peasant to fire correctly, and years to have correct archer.)
The battle would have seen Revy kill some soldier by herself, but uncover her position by this, and being helpless quickly. Maybe she could fire four or six times before having to reload.
Fastly, she would be flanked, and would be ultimately gunned down, or pinned down with bayonet.
But since it's manga, enthousiam can overthrow strategy.
Sagara ,hes trained to read situations and he uses booby traps, revi is a tour-de-force when she gets going but she isnt indestructable..
Sagara clear win
It's not physically possible for Revy to kill a line of 200 men in 2 rows faster than they can fire their wide area volleys. As good as she is at dodging, in even a remotely open environment she'd be hosed. Dodge a few bullets? sure. Dodge a lead wall 50ft across coming at you? nah-uh.
This isn't at all like her usual kinds of fights where there's only a handful of targets trying to aim at her and she has a bulletproof bar to hide behind. This is Sosuke training an army of 1000 troops to fire in volleys with a wide spread as would be the wisest tactical decision given such weaponry (and thus, he'd know to use that tactic).
It'd be like Gilgamesh vs. Berserker all over again. Even with 12 lives and being almost impervious to weaponry he couldn't do it.
1. Sagara is training 1000 men into becoming deadly killing machines. Revy is just giving her troops a brief overview, meaning that Sagara's troops will absolutely destroy Revy's troops.
2. I don't care how powerful or insane Revy is, she can't beat 1000 men by running into battle by herself. Have you ever tried to dodge the bullets of 1000 soldiers? While I am guessing that no one having this discussion has, I am pretty sure that it's freaking tough. The problem is that Revy won't rely on her troops or even use a strategy to fight, therefore resulting in her downfall.
3. You did say she was drinking, meaning that she could possibly be drunk while fighting. (I have never seen that much of Black Lagoon, meaning I don't know how well she can hold her liquor. So this one depends on how well she can hold her liquor.)
4. I've seen the rugby team episode, and from what I've seen, the team that Sagara created only destroyed the other team using their bare hands. I'm pretty sure they can drop their weapon and utilize hand to hand combat against Revy if she rushes them with a club.
For these reasons, I believe Sagara will win.
Unstoppable? Are you kidding me, that is just plain stupid, she is a human being, so what if she's "tough". She isn't some super-human super-weapon-like killing machine.
Your logic is completely incorrect, this is reality here the "Rule of Cool" does not apply.
Your precious Revy would be shot dead, and her poorly trained army.
I don't believe this. You take two of the most bad-ass contemporary characters, whose primary skills revolve around armed, single combat and you make them compete as historical generals? What is the point? I mean, yeah, Sousouke would probably win because he has at least some formal military organisational training but he's not a commander, he's a combat specialist. At that level, it's pretty much a coin toss.
Put them up against each other in an urban setting, each with their own choice of equipment, in a one-on-one battle. That I would pay to see. From a distance.
