Bandai Wins the Bad Ass Figures Award

Take a trip to Akihabara for the Tamashii Features event.

We all owe Danny Choo a bit of thanks for a taking trip to Akihabara earlier this month with his camera, because the pictures he took will never be forgotten. What he attended was a special Bandai event called Tamashii Features, which showcases all of Bandai’s new figures, including their Robot Tamashii and SH.H. Figuarts lines. Which include Dragonball, Kamen Rider, Gundam, Code Geass, and Ultraman figures; something for everyone. I don’t know about you, but there are so many figures I want to buy, but not enough money or space to put them all in; what is an otaku to do? Check them all out and join me in my predicament.

I'm usually not into this kind of thing but I'd totally buy that Nirvash just to stick on my desk.

@GodLen: You can never have enough G3 in your life.

Do want. I'll take that one, and that one, and this one.....

With the exception of the Dragon Ball Z figures i had no idea what any of those characters where from, but my mind was blown anyway. That Picalo figure reminded me of why i always though he was the badassest character in DBZ for a long time.

Okay, I don't know the story behind it...

...but this is the first Gundam figure I've seen that I actually wanted. (...It is a Gundam, right?)

I think it's the colors, but this one made me think for some reason of a Miku Hatsune mech. How cool would that be?
GodLen staff on Feb. 17, 2010 at 4:37 p.m.
@gia: That's from Gundam 00

wow the only figure i don`t like here is Akuma Decade with the G4 rocket launcher. I see the rest as a must buy especially the new Kamen Rider Accel figure :)

Loads of great figures. Especially the Gundam ones. Makes me want to expand my small little collection.

@lanaswift: It is indeed a Gundam. Its called Turn-A, from the anime with the same name. (a great forgotten series at that). Happens to be a quite powerful Gundam as well, possible the strongest one depending on how you look at it.

That Piccolo is awesome one of the best I seen of him.

Yeah I have to agree, except his muscles are meant to be pink not yellow. The elder namekians have yellow muscles... but yeah apart from that it's awesome.
Those robot/armored guys look amazing too, too bad I'm not into whatever anime/mange they're from.
GodLen staff on Feb. 18, 2010 at 11:17 a.m.
@Newten: Those are from Kamen Rider
RockmanBionicson Feb. 24, 2010 at 7:01 a.m.
WTF!? how did I miss this?

Edit: oh right because it had piccolo and not G3 on the front end.
cfatalison Feb. 24, 2010 at 8:23 a.m.

You know, given our fandom I really did have to wonder if there was a "Bad Ass Figure Award."
