Bandai Scores with Hot Goddess

Why do all these things always happen when I'm traveling?

So, that Kannagi announcement over at the Nagisama fanclub that people were speculating was part of what Bandai was up to? And also the OMGItsComing.com thing? Yup, you were right! But wait, there's more...

Bandai Entertainment will be releasing the first DVD today-- and how they kept that a secret is astonishing to me! --and Anime News Network is already streaming the first two episodes. As for the DVD release, the first volume has episodes 1-7, and the rest will come out on volume 2 in September. If you buy both volumes 1 and 2 on Right Stuf by September 8th, you'll also get an exclusive Kannagi t-shirt. Alternatively, a two-volume set will be made available sometime next year.

If you haven't already caught Kannagi and aren't sure if it's something you'd want to pick up at, say, Otakon or San Diego Comic-Con, well, here's the first episode for you to try out.

Interestingly, the anime is sponsored by...Colorado. Heh.

Very very cool. It looks as though it will be order-able tomorrow on Right Stuf's site. The t-shirt is a cool little way to get the 2nd dvd sold, even though I would have bought both w/o it. I really want to watch the show in dvd quality on the big screen, as it were, and try to catch all the little things I missed the first time around. Way to go Bandai!!  (Hopefully they'll say something about it at SDCC.)

Awesome! :D I will try to buy both DVDs as long as I can pick them up for a reasonable price...

I really LOVE the t-shirt!

That is a surprise to hear... I figured they had the license to Kannagai but I didn't expect it to be released so soon. But it seems as if Rightstuf is probably going to wait until tomorrow to let you order it...after the Bandai Sale. :(
