Naruto #605 - Hell | #606 - Dream World
In a Nutshell
Still shellshocked from seeing Rin dead, Obito obliterates the Hidden Mist ninjas responsible for her death and returns to Madara, who explains his Moon Eye plan as well as some secrets about the Rinnegan.
High Points
- I always get a kick out of seeing people rage power up multiple times in rapid succession.
- Obito beats the living daylights out of people.
- More information given about series lore.
Low Points
- Less time could have been spent explaining the Moon Eye plan for the thousandth time.
Rants and Raves
The biggest thing to me is that if Obito is seemingly an instant expert at wood jutsu, why does he never use it again? Not much of a rant or rave, but this immediately came to mind while reading these chapters.
Grade
B+. Solid chapters. I definitely enjoyed 605 more than 606, but it's always nice to get some of the lore cleared up.
William Taylor does stuff and sometimes it even gets done on time! Unravel the mystery via Twitter @mrsickvisionz.

now can we finally get back to the action, please? it's been about a month now.
I am not one who enjoys it when characters have innate power for the sake of power. That plotline is hackneyed and leaves very little for creativity. Obito no longer uses wood techniques as Tobi, so there better be a good reason for highlighting that skill.
For example: Naruto has been the "strongest" character in the show because of his Fox chaka power. Naruto has trained multiple times yet his attacks still consist of shadow clones and rasengan. Kishimoto has not been very creative with Naruto's character.
you know that there are two Obito Pages use the Obito Tobi page and yes I am aware maybe kishi is stalling
I can't belive you gave a B+ to two of the most awesome chapters in Naruto. It's been a while since it got so great as this two/maybe three last chapters. Obito's story is awesome, and we are getting finally some answers. I can't belive you just gave to that a B+.
@tximinoman: I didn't really care about Zetsu's origin and Obito meeting Nagato didn't do much for me, despite its importance. I thought the original Pain reveal of that two panel shot of him overlooking his massively detailed city was more epic than this. Plus, you say it like B+ means I think it sucks. I liked both of them a lot (I would give 605 an A) but just not enough to push into my feelings on what A quality Naruto manga is.
this is like the matrix
I don't really think that he is a proclaimed master of the mokutin jitsu per say. It's more the fact he was tethered in with hashrama's clone and had that umbilical cord attached to him that probably allowed him to manipulate the jutsu just as sauske is an expert at using orochimaru's curse mark although that is not his original power nor is it something that he uses in the book anymore after activating susano. I do agree that this chapter just seemed like fodder left over from last week's entry but it's okay the chapters come out weekly so color me impressed either way.
@sickVisionz: No, never said that, B+ is a great note, but these chapters are the answers about who is Tobi and why is Tobi doing what he is doing. Also they explain where did Nagato took his eyes from and they revealed the mistery of Rin in one of the most awesome way I could ever think of.
Yes, you are right, B+ is a great note, but I can't understand you because I've been excited this last three weeks because of this. As the Naruto fan i am (I consider the manga way better than One Piece or Bleach for example) I've been waiting for Tobi's story for a long time now. So it's not so much about "OMG HOW COULD YOU DO THAT" but more "WHAAAAT AREN'T YOU EXCITED AT ALL?"
For me both are A+
@tximinoman: To each their own. I was curious how Nagato got his eyes but the big reveal is I gave them to him while he was asleep. I was expecting something more exciting. In theory, all of the reveals should be interesting and to me they are, just not interesting enough for me to feel like OMG best chapter ever!
If it is for you, cool beans.
Oh boy, this became predictable for Obito's change. This is the same old vengeance or hate against the world for taking someone out of your life. I hoping they show more of what happened to Rin and Kakashi.

Speaking of that, Rock Lee and His Ninja Pals episode 30 is only official debut for the guy in that show. I remember you added Tobi and Obito to a random episode along with the Akatsuki members. Don't forget to double check what you add. It's easier to just add the characters when you watching the episode.
@takashichea: Well it's about time I just hope more characters appear I am sick of dealing with Orochimaru Yeah sure he's a successful villain in the main series but he is a decaying villain threat and a smug snake.
Still not liking Tobi is Obito, still feel like he just doing it for Rin and himself. It just make him a selfish brat
@Destinyheroknight:
Me, too. It makes Obito Uchiha's heroic sacrifice vain.
@Destinyheroknight: i AGREE but i have asolution... kill kakshi
