In a Nutshell
The Captain Commander is stuck in a Fake Karakura Town timeloop where he one shots some lackies and then takes on the big bad. Struggling to break the paradox, he releases his Banki rather than his Shikai.
High Points
- Hey, there's a Bankai coming next week!
- As always, Kubo knows how to frame a shot well and make things look cool.
Low Points
- Kubo is still mirroring past arcs to an exacting degree.
Rants and Raves
The problem here is that I know how this is going to go, not just in a sense of who will ultimately win, but the specifics of how it will happen. It's Fake Karakura Town all over again. Lesser Shinigami will struggle against a group of lackies. Angered by this, the Captain Commander shows up and one shots them like haha, pwnage. With their defeat, the Big Bad then approaches Yama and is able to defeat him using a scientific creation. In the previous arc it was Margera Wonderweiss, an arrancar modified by Aizen and specifically designed to defeat Yama. This time it will be the currently empty Bankai sealing device (check out chapter #496 to see the visible difference between an empty and full one) that is attached to Juha Bach's blade. The only way this doesn't happen is if Bleach ends by the end of the month with Juha defeated and Ichigo sits this entire arc out, both of which are highly unlikely. Sigh.
Grade
I ranted a lot but I'll give this chapter a B-. Yeah, Kubo only has one story that he keeps retelling but man, I've been waiting forever to see the Yama's Bankai and it's finally here.

Yea..im pretty sure the old man is gonna die. like DIE DIE no comig back bs. its fitting for the last arc of bleach. idk what direction the story will take after that though. or maybe juha will bane yuma like " you don't have my permission to die..not until soul society is in ashes then you may die" lol
I can't wait till next week and see the Commander's Bankai!!!! but then again let's not forget that the Quincys can steal Bankai... like you mentioned, It's Fake Karakura Town again... they are gonna restrain Ruyjinjaka from commander Yama... and he will have to deal with the enemy by h2h. IMO
