The crew is just trying to enjoy the ride and not get trapped in the tunnel as Franky fights with Buffalo and Baby 5 outside. Caesarinadvertently saves everyone from a fiery death, and a dark power makes his move to settle matters himself.
Some of you readers certainly called it. Good eyes on you all. Seems Law really did pull a switch-a-roo with the hearts and gave Caesar the heart of Monet. Call it serendipitous that he strikes the heart, thinking it belongs to Smoker, just as she's about the blow up the island.
The best part of this chapter was much of the dialog. I don't know which I enjoyed more. The G-5's commentary or Law's detached narration. Let's not forget Franky's solo fight. There is something so absurd about the situation but in the best possible way.
If I didn't already hate Caesar Clown enough. He's now responsible for harming Monet, Yeah, I know it was ultimately becasue of Law's actions. Speaking of this scene. The whole concept of having all these various conversations going on as the Straw Hats & company are trying to frantically escape the facility was kind of silly. It almost reminds me of those moments in DRAGON BALL Z where Namek was to explode in three minutes, but there are still five episodes and twenty minutes of dialog. However, Odakind of saves it all by having Law call it out.
There was so much going on in this chapter for what was mainly a cart ride through a tunnel. It could have been awkward if it wasn't for some of the solid laughs in the dialog. Just as I've been thinking this arc is coming to an end. It seems that we still haven't seen the show stopper just yet. Not only is there still all the mysteries surrounding Monet's mixed motives, but they still need to clean up the details of all the poisoned on the island. On top of it all, Doflamingo is heading to Punk Hazard.
