Isshin investigates the recent disappearances, and we finally get to meet Masaki Kurosaki.
The Good
BLEACH this week had the set up for your classic, Hollywood rom-com. You have poor Masaki put into an arranged marriage with a rich stiff, Ryuken; then there's quirky male-lead, Isshin. It's a set up for a wacky love-triangle. Too bad all the jokes were flat, and the first two-thirds of the chapter was laced with this creepy sense of racial purity the Quincy seem obsessed with. Isn't the whole idea of purity just a fancy term for inbreeding?
One of the better touches is that Ryuken doesn't want to marry Masaki. Not for any altruistic reasons, but for the sheer pragmatism that an unhappy marriage makes you unhappy. Will he notice that the adorableKatagiri seems like she'd be more than happy to marry him? Anyone want to put odds down on Katagiri being the future mother of Uryu?
The Bad
What can you really say that's bad when nothing really happened. There was some set up that Masaki is basically an orphan, she's expected to marry Ryuken, and some no name Soul Reapers were decapitated by what appears to be an early model Arrancar. Add in some lame humor, and that's the extend of it.
Verdict 2/5
This has to be one of the hardest chapter reviews I've had to do for the Shonen Trilogy. Not because of the rating, but due to the fact that nothing happened this week. The entire chapter felt as if it could have been a single scene out of a movie. At this pace, it feels as if you could put off reading BLEACH for a few a month or two then catch up later.
I just hope you weren't expecting any quick outcome of these events. BLEACH will be on break next week.

I noticed to, you was just first to post on here
Anyway, I think that Hollow is really Ichigo's mother :)
I'm pretty sure it's a Vasto Lorde, not an early model arrancar. And yes, it looks like Ichigo's hollow form but this wouldn't really make any sense.
