Got $900 to spare? And maybe a trip to Taiwan in your future? Congratulations, you might be able to pick up this exclusive Astro Boy netbook, which is really cool looking. It's a 10.1" netbook with a 160gb hard drive, Atom N270 processor (that would be probably 1.6ghz), Windows XP, and a gig of RAM. Emphasis on might, since there are only 1,000 of 'em.
But that $900 doesn't just get you a limited-edition nicely decorated laptop (which has a rubberized finish and an Astro Boy movie image that does look pretty awesome), oh no. Along with the netbook you get an Astro Boy MP3 player, an external CD drive, an external 160gb hard drive, a USB hub/card reader, remote controlled speaker, and carrying case-- all similarly Astro Boy-branded.
That...actually sounds really cool. And while $900 is a lot for a netbook (believe me-- I've paid it), $900 for a netbook, mp3 player, external hard drive, and remote-control speakers is...well, okay, it's still a lot, but not quite as stupidly insane.
Unfortunately, this setup is currently only available in Taiwan. Sad pandas! I've probably mentioned that I'm a total sucker for merchandise I can actually use, so this is kinda jackpot-ish for me.
