Assault Girls Trailer Shoot Big Guns, Fight Satan

At least I think so. With these things you can never be certain...

Following my recently binge of horrific live action films, the trailer for Assault Girls actually looks like quality. Of course, after Attack Girls Swim Team versus the Undead, Robogeisha, and Machine Girl, even K-on feels like it has some intellectual merit behind it.

To be fair, Mamoru Oshii is the director, and deserves a little more respect. I'm sure most everyone here is familiar with his works, which include Ghost in the Shell, Patlabor, and  Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer. Assault Girls will be his first work since 2008's Sky Crawlers, and hopefully it won't turn into a terrible movie. Girls with big guns, shooting sandworms, and fighting Satan? On paper everything checks out...
