AnimeVice Quick Picks 05/10/11

Sora_TheKey keeps you updated on the latest anime/manga releases.

It is a beautiful day to stay indoors and read some manga and watch some anime!

 Biomega Vol. 6
 Biomega Vol. 6
VIZ Media once again releases the best of the best with the sixth volume of Biomega is being released. The characters in this volume try to remake the world in their image after all the pain and destruction they've experienced. Kodonsha Comics is also releasing their popular book: the 13th volume of Fairy Tail, a  story about the adventures of magic guilds. Even though I do not follow these books personally, I suggest you get them since everybody else is. I guess I should lead by example then...
On the anime side, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Box Sets are out an about. If you are a fan of this franchise then you should complete your collection with these. Also, FUNimation is releasing the complete series of Chobits on both DVD and Blu-Ray. The anime is about persocoms - perfect humanoid computers. Technologically inept Hideki wants to get a persocom and when he finds one in the trash he discovers that there is more than what meets the eye about the beautiful machine named Chi. Even though Chi's memory is wiped clean, over time Hideki ends up uncovering dark secrets within her. (if you buy this via RightStuf you get a free magnet)

Those are my picks this week. Is there anything you might be interested in?

I pre-ordered my copy of biomega a couple of months ago, glad to see it's finally coming this week.

Hey wiki editors, I added some tasks for some of these series -- we need article written.

Or for the more data minded, we need someone to make sure we've got the release dates right on the actual wiki pages.

Nothing too interesting this week.

Nothing for me until June or July when Highschool of the Dead and Katanagatari hit.

I take that back.  Didn't realize that Soul Eater BDs are coming out this month.

I knew BioMega Vol. 6 was coming out and I'll get it eventually. It's the last volume of the series, I believe, so I have to find out what happens. Hopefully everything makes sense at the end because I am really confused after volume 5.

I am slowly buying Fairy Tail. I love the manga and even started the anime. Only up to Vol. 2 of the manga though so I have a ways to go before getting to Vol. 13.

It's nice that Chobits is getting a new release but the show was 'meh' for me. Started off fine but the story just ran off and the relationship got really weird.

I am questioning how they are still rereleasing Inuyasha and Rave Master.
I may pick up the blu-ray of Chobits if the upscaling is done well.

Noticed sgt frog 21 wasn't there...was supposed to be out the tenth, had it pre-ordered for two months. Thanks stu, I mean Dj. Milky. Oh well, since tokyopop is gone I guess I'll start collecting kampfer(Damn never mind had it preordered and checked only to see it was going to be a tokyopop release) and a certain scientific railgun (vertical). Anyone else see that Princess Knight(seven seas) is getting released in October pretty cool.

@sotyfan16: Wait! BioMega ends in Vol. 6?! The solicit didn't mention that...

sotyfan16on May 11, 2011 at 5:42 p.m.
I figured it did because of the volume description on RightStuf. Take a look here. With how quickly the story has moved so far, on top of my confusion, I can see it being the final volume. Also, Wikipedia says there are only 6 volumes.
