Anime Gets Jokalicious

A new anime featuring daily jokes has been announced.

Why did Japanese anime streaming service BIGLOBE cross the road? To make a new daily short anime featuring 365 jokes from around the world! Ahahaha...ha...haha...ha...ahem.

Right, anyway. The new anime is called Charady no Joke na Mainichi; I'm guessing charady is a portmanteau of character and parody (it's also the name of the main character, who tells the jokes), and the rest, of course, is daily joke. It's a new series of anime shorts portraying classic jokes that will run on a daily basis starting April 1 and intended to run for 365 days solid. It looks like it will also be broadcast, but it's not clear when or on what channel.

Given that Charady appears to be buck nekkid on the new official website for the project, I'm guessing this isn't “jokes for little kids” time. Sounds like it could be fun, what do you think?

I think this is awesome, I always love a good joke to brighten my dad, even some jokes that may be a bit perverted XD

Seconded, I just hope they're, y'know, actually funny. ;)

Maybe she will read the jokes while taking a bath? (I would change it to her reading while busy on the toilet... more realistic that way. hehe). Main character looks nice. I got excited for a second there, since I recognized one of those flags... but that is Cuba's flag (very cool that it appears there). Puerto Rico's (where I live) flag has the same colors but inverted (the red / blue, anyway).
