Anime Expo 2010 Cosplay Photos - - Batch Two

DEATH NOTE dominated the floor.

Here's my second batch of cosplay photos from AX. I realized that DEATH NOTE was popular show, but not this popular. Misa was, hands down, the most popular costume choice on the floor, and there more than a few attendees dressed as L and Mello. You even had DEATH NOTE ensembles like this bunch to the right (although I never saw anybody dressed as any of the frumpy task force agents.) Next to mastermind detectives and ditsy serial killers, I'd say that Sora, Link and Zelda were the top choices.  
 
This batch definitely has more of a video game presence, with the aforementioned Link & Zelda, Ganondorf (because you NEED the villain to complete it,) a RESIDENT EVIL ensemble, Sonic and Shadow the Hedgehogs and a really clever PAC-MAN duo. You'll also see an FLCL-themed couple, some authentic samurai and an Andrew WK (who's basically an anime character, anyway.) See if you can name the rest!

I don't know that Death Note is just simply popular...the costumes are really easy.  I mean, for L, you just need jeans and a white t-shirt.  Death Note is sort of the "I want to cosplay but don't want to put any effort into it" choice.

Death Note is filled with iconic, but simple costumes and looks. Unless someone wants to Cosplay Ryuk it'll be relatively easy for them to cosplay at a convention in those costumes.
 
Now finding a bright orange, blue and white jumpsuit is kinda hard, and painful on the eyes

It's funny how people say Death Note cosplay is so easy when it's really rare to find a good cosplayed L, Misa or Light. Personally, I think cosplaying as L is quite difficult (his hairstyle for example).

@Gasero: My friend saw a Ryuk roaming the halls, actually. He said his costume wasn't that good, though.

The Anime Expo is North America's largest anime convention which takes place in the greater Los Angeles area every 4th of July weekend. In its recent years, it has been held in the Los Angeles Conventional Center.
