Don’t you know that the best way to get an animation job in Japan is to actually make yourself a nice little anime, and post it on the internet for everyone to see? The genius behind this plan is Hiroyasu Ishida, a 21-year-old animation student who decided to create his own anime, named “Fumiko no Kokuhaku” or Fumiko’s Confession.

Hiroyasu directed, animated, edited, and did the sound design for this film; though he did recive help for some of the backgrounds, 3D textures/modeling/ and in-between animation. There is nothing wrong with that, anime after all is not created by one person. He did an extremely fine job, not only with the animation, but with the story as well. It reminds me of an old Bugs Bunny cartoon or something along those lines, but with more moe and panty shots. Keep up the good work Hiroyasu; I’m sure he will get a job in no time with this little gem.

For one guy, that was really good.  I can see why you said it's kinda like an old Bugs Bunny cartoon or just a Looney Tunes cartoon.  I also like the art work.  Seemed really different compared to other animes, which is a good thing.

Not bad at all! Especially for a student. My only pondering is if she ran from the schoolyard screaming, tripped and flew down the mountainside almost breaking the sound barrier, how did that other guy get down there so fast? (answer: Looney Tunes Fridge Logic)

@HeeroYuy: Or maybe she ran around the world?

@HeeroYuy: See, I figured that there was some more awkward talking, and then he walked away, and she kinda stood there in awkward silence/aloneness for a minute before it all really hit her and she ran. :D

That is freakin' awesome though. Honestly, I liked it better than Voices of a Distant Star-- just to compare it to another one-man show ^^

 Very cool.  Felt like for a moment like a was watching an early Miyazaki film or something.  Some unnecessary pantyshots but other then that its great!

Wow that was crazy! Ha ha ha :D Very good work though; I liked the visual style. Also echoing on that it does feel like an old Looney Tunes episode.

@gia: Yeah, I liked the lightheartedness of this a bit more than VoaDS too even if it was a bit short. I'm pretty convinced that Makoto Shinkai was mainly just trying to show off just how awesome he could be with that one though...

This was very funny and the animation and art is very unique. It reminds me of the old Looney tunes cartoons.

That was funny a grate short for a resume.
@gia:
 @HeeroYuy: It was good but I wouldn't necessarily compare it to VoaDS that is a movie and this is a 2:22 min short.
@Halberdierv2:  I see what you mean but I don't find it necessary. It kinda obvious that she's asking to go out with him or something like that.

@HeeroYuy: Could be; I've never gotten around to his follow-ups. Voices was definitely a little too emo for my tastes. ;)

@gia: His style completely shifted with his later works. Now his stuff is all about super-realism pretty much. His best work imo is The Place Promised in our Early Days since it actually feels like a full feature, though it's still about as emo as VoaDS for the better part of it.
