5 Sentimeters Ber Secont?

Oh, China. What are you up to?

Gigazine reports on an interesting Chinese animated film titled "Window of the Heart." Unfortunately the film isn't getting attention for being awesome, but because it's so remarkably similar to the Makoto Shinkai film 5 Centimeters Per Second. Here are a few of the comparison shots, with 5cm on the top and Window of the Heart on the bottom.
 
 


 
 


 
 


...Yeah, that looks kinda...not good. For more shots, hit up the original Gigazine article. They also note that the Communist Party of China itself was involved in the production (I'm not sure how common this is-- anyone have thoughts?), aimed at young adults. Tsk!

Obvious highway robbery, but I'd like to see what story/dialogue edits they made, if any.
