The new studio is divvying up the tasks involved in the making of an anime-- namely, 4ºC is doing the making (animation production and other creative tasks) and Lucent is doing the marketing and promotion. 4ºC has done a pretty good job building its reputation as a high-quality creative outlet...it'll be interesting to see where things go with this new deal.

The Variety article also notes that the Tokyo Anime Fair has seen record attendance at its two business days, with 26,676 visitors counted. Over a thousand of those were from abroad, also a big jump. It'll be interesting to see what kind of numbers the two public days manage to pull.
