At least, I'm assuming that the newly-announced full-length anime film in the Mahou Sensei Negima franchise will be at least PG-12, and it's entirely likely that it might get rated R15+-- in which no children under 15 are admitted because the movie "contains adult themes, nudity, strong language, violence, and/or sex, etc. which is inappropriate for people under 15."
Now, I've only seen some of the first Negima series, which prominently featured fanservice that would definitely place the show somewhere between those two ratings. On the other hand, the movie is probably going to be more like the later TV series, which focused a lot more on the magic and plot and I believe a little bit less on the bathing scenes...although if any of you readers follow the show more closely than I do and would like to clarify us, that'd be swell.
In the meantime I'll note something kind of interesting: apparently this project was originally going to be the final episode of the OVA series, but Negima creator Ken Akamatsu promised fans that if the sales for the earlier volumes of the OVA were high enough, they'd make the final chapter a film...and apparently they were. Big surprise! The film will be out some time in 2011.
