Plot Summary
Nodoka plays with a magic book and tries to find her fated love using the legend of the Red Thread of Destiny. While it lead to Negi, it causes far more trouble then she ever expected and needs to be hidden from the rest of the class.
Points of Interest
- Though the events of the previous Negima!? special was based on events from the manga. This special is an original concept.
- Much of the images shown in the opening sequence are from images for the manga.
- In Nodoka's room, one of the stuffed animals on the bed is Misosa from the anime Pani Poni Dash.
- Shichimi can be seen wrapped around Konoka's arm in the scene Ayaka is welcoming Negi to the resort. Shichimi appeared in the Negima!? anime.
- Motsu also appears in a short scene just after Ayaka is splashed in a wave created by Akira.
- They both appeared scattered throughout the episode, but have no spoken dialog.
- After the scene where Haruna questions Nodoka about being close to Negi. There is an image of Nodoka in an dominatrix-like outfit. This is how Haruna drew herself after she first discovered Negi is a wizard in the manga. Seen in Volume 14 Chapter 126.
- Akira is wearing the shark costume from the Negima!? Spring Special. It was also seen int the manga Volume 7.
- The image that is shown after Asurako passes out from the massage. The Mahora cheerleaders; Misa, Madoka, and Asurako; are shown as they appeared on their shopping trip prior to the school trip to Kyoto in the manga, Volume 4.
- After the scene where Nodoka uses Negi's arm like a puppet. The image of Makie is how she appeared in cosplay festival in Volume 11, and later in Volume 17.
- Kotaro, from the manga, actually appeared during the fireworks display on the fan that Chizuru is holding.
