The character has known the protagonist for a long time, typically all his/her life. If he/she's from the opposite gender there's a high chance he/she has a crush on the main character. |

The Chunin Exams are an event held in the Hidden Leaf where Genin from the Hidden Leaf and other villages go through a series of tests and practical examinations in order to be considered for advancement to the Chunin rank. |

Collateral Damage is a military term describing a situation where soldiers destroy property or kill civilians by accident or on purpose. Example:Dragon Ball Z, there is a lot of property damages and lives lost when Majin Buu blows up the whole city. |

Convenient Censorship such as steam, hair and beams of light are often used in anime and manga to show naked characters while obscuring their "naughty bits". |

Someone who remains calm in most of the situations. Even in the middle of battle. |

One or more past events that negatively affected one or more people. It's very common in an anime for at least one person to have such a past. |

Not to be confused with "Evil Twin" which is a completely different person who is an evil version of a character, the Dark Side is an internal evil persona of a character. It is often seen as a figure that must be defeated to gain control over one's own body and gain extra powers. |

These characters had died by the end of the manga, anime or movie. Permanently. |

Demons
Are powerful creatures that live in the pits of Hell. That are many classes and levels for these monsters but no matter the rank they are deadly beasts. |

The loss of limbs and body parts is a common concept in many of the more violent Japanese manga and anime. |

A Doctor is a medical professional that works to the goal of curing illness in others. |

When someone good or evil who works for one team is actually doing the opposite team's duties behind at least one team's back. This is to hide the fact that they're working for the opposing team. |

Dreams & Nightmares
The imaginary events that goes on in your head when you are asleep. In some anime's they can bring important messages or to haunt a person. |

Drowning is death from suffocation (asphyxia) caused by a liquid entering the lungs and preventing the absorption of oxygen leading to cerebral hypoxia and cardiac arrest. |
