Even though we're all way past that chapter. I'm sure most of you out there recall the moment when Kabuto first appeared before Madara Uchiha and stated that he wanted to join forces with him. For those of you who do not remember though, it was in Naruto #490. As soon as Kabuto had revealed his intentions to use Sasuke Uchiha so that he may further his goal of learning more ninjutsu, Madara clearly became suspicious of him. When he asked Kabuto what he would do if he refused to join forces with him, Kabuto used the "Kuchiyose: Edo Tensei/Summoning: Impure World" Resurrection technique and summoned an unknown individual in a wooden coffin. Once Madara had gotten a good look at whoever was in there, he called Kabuto a madman and asked him where he "Got That". Kabuto however, told him not to worry and that he will not tell anyone about it. Aside from being curious as to who was in that coffin, Kabuto telling Madara that he didn't tell anyone about it raises questions on "Madara's" actual identity. Basically, this thread is about who Kabuto had summoned. Who do you guys think it was? Share your theories. I have a couple of theories on who it was, and some of those theories put Madara's claim of actually being Madara Uchiha himself into question. My first theory is that Madara is indeed who he claims he is and that Kabuto actually summoned the First Hokage. Now why would that scare him into teaming up with Kabuto? Well the answer is simple. Madara has fought and lost against the First Hokage in battle and as we all know, he was severely injured by the battle and he was never truly the same again. Kabuto having the First at his command would give him an advantage over Madara as Madara surely wouldn't want to experience a battle with the First again. It would be terrible for him. That is one of the many theories I have considered. Another theory could be that Madara is indeed Madara Uchiha and Kabuto had in fact summoned his brother Izuna Uchiha which would be more than enough to coerce Madara into joining forces with him. Those I feel are the most likely theories as to who might be in that coffin. They both explain why Madara would be forced to team up with Kabuto wouldn't it? 
 
The others theories I have suggest that Madara is not in fact Madara Uchiha. One could be that Tobi/Madara is actually Obito Uchiha (as some people still believe) and Kabuto had summoned the real Madara Uchiha which would reveal him as a phony to the entire world which would foil his plans. Not to mention that if Tobi is indeed Obito, the real Madara Uchiha would be powerful enough to defeat him. Another theory also suggests that his identity is Obito but who Kabuto summons is not somebody who can stop him using power, but somebody who can cause him emotional anguish. I'm talking about Rin, the girl that Obito was in love with when he was teammates with Kakashi. It could also be an entirely new character that we've never seen but could foil Tobi's plans. Another theory is that Tobi is not Madara but actually Madara's younger brother Izuna pretending to be Madara and the body in the coffin is the real Madara Uchiha. Tobi might also be a character that we've never seen that is simply pretending to be Madara and the body in the coffin was Madara himself which would question the plausibility of Tobi's claims of being Madara. What really makes me question Madara's identity was that Kabuto told him not to worry and that he won't tell a soul which strongly implies that Tobi has some sort of secret. The most unlikely theory I believe could be that Kabuto had summoned the Sage of the Six Paths himself. But that would just end the entire series, not to mention that the Sage's body should have already rotted away to nothingness.  
 
So what are your theories on who Kabuto summoned? Why do you think he summoned who you say he summoned?

I doubt it was Minato, he was pretty much obliterated, I remember Kabuto not being able to get Jiraiya because he was in the sea so I don't think he could get Minato summoned.  But I agre with the rest, along with Rikudou Sennin. Still part of me want to believe it was Minato, it must be someone Madara knows or thinks is a serious threat. But other than other Uchiha and the Rinnegan user I don't know.

Kabuto don't need there bodies, he just need a piece of DNA, the reason he can't summon the First, Second, Third & Fourth Hokages is they was seal with the dead demon consuming seal
