Nanashi
Nanashi, means nameless, is a ronin that has a great talent with the sword. He was recruited by Kotaro to be a bodyguard, he then develops a relationship with the boy.Due to terrible events in the past, he sealed his sword and vowed never to draw it. But he was once again, driven by fate, given a choice whether to save himself or save a life.
Nanashi first makes his appearance lying down in a small run down house that would seem to have been abandoned during a time of invasion and war. The home is actually being occupied by a young boy named Kotarou and his canine companion Tobimaru. Kotarou has just ran away, being hunted for reasons unknown. Recently stealing food and water from a man. When Kotarou asks whose their, Nanashi replies no one suspicious, but is quickly told to leave. Nanashi proceeds to ask if this is Kotarou's home, as his statement would suggest this is true, which Kotarou tells him it is, and that he has been here long before. Nanashi calmly says he will rent his space, much to the annoyance of Kotarou who proceeds to leave.
