Over the course of the series, it's revealed that Nagi considers herself a bit of an otaku and aspiring manga artist. She makes a lot of inside jokes and references to other popular anime and manga throughout the story. However, her lifestyle has also made her a bit of a sheltered shut-in, as she has trouble talking to people outside of her circle of close friends and servants and even knowing what to buy, often relying on Hayate, Maria, or someone else to do it for her. Nagi is also very unathletic, having trouble running more than 50 meters even after Hayate tried to train her for a freestyle marathon.
Nagi seems to have a sort of rivalry with Nishizawa, Hayate's former classmate and another love interest, often condescendingly referring to her as "Hamster" after a Toradora reference where Nagi's aura appeared in the form of a dragon while Nishizawa's aura took on the shape of a Hamster that the dragon ended up trying to eat. However, the two of them seem to grudgingly get along with each other after initial hostilities.

The young, short heir to the Sanzenin fortune who happens to be in love with her butler and rescuer, Hayate.
Nagi Sanzenin is a very rich girl and heir to the fortune of the Sanzenin family. One night, while walking through the park, she mistook Hayate's words as a confession of love when he really asked to kidnap her. After she briefly got kidnapped for real by the Yakuza, Hayate managed to save her just to spite his parents. Nagi decided to repay the favor by healing his wounds and then hiring him as a butler for the Sanzenin family.
