She came across Ellis to turn her in for bounty money, but beforehand, she wanted Ellis to see whatever was "south" of where they were. She originally works for someone, but they could also be involved in Leviathan's evil scheme.
It is revealed that she worked for Jody, who she later betrayed because she got too close to her target.
