My Neighbor Totoro is a franchise comprised of 1 movieTwo sisters have magical adventures with a dust sprite named Totoro.
Mei and Satsuki move with their professor father to a new home that turns out to be home to a number of spirits, dust sprites to be specific. They befriend the creatures, particularly the large Totoro, and learn about their new home. One night Mei is lost and Totoro helps Satsuki find her by way of a Catbus. The two girls never see Totoro again after that magical night, but the spirits continue to watch over them as they grow.
