Have not seen Madoka Magica? Have you not seen the amount of Madoka in the Expos you guys want?

Still I highly recommend watching it, only 12 episodes long.

I don't really have any embarrassing anime stories. I tend not to bring anime up in conversation unless I am sure other people will know what I am talking about.

I also don't really have a favorite anime badass, but off the top of my head I would say someone like Jin from Samurai Champloo. It could be because of the Watch & Learn, but I can say that I appreciated Jin's tranquil attitude throughout the series. He always seemed to have things under control. On the opposite end is Kenpachi from Bleach. Dude just loved to fight.

I feel a bit odd about admitting liking anime in public (unless it's the mainstream ones like Naruto and Bleach). fortunately, the community I live in have a healthy liking of anime, so it isn't bad. but some of the animes I watch do come across as a bit weird (eg, anybody seeing Hideyoshi's antics in Baka to Test, or Ranma's genderbending wouldn't be exactly willing to share it). even stuff like Sailor Moon feels weird to admit to liking, despite being well known. still, a good story is a good story.

I really find it hard to admit to like and/or discuss anything anime in public, because a lot of people aren't fans of it at all. Unless it's some mainstream stuff like Naruto or something along the lines of Miyazaki, then yeah. But other than that, no. Even around my best friend I don't bring up much anime, or none at all. So like a lot of people, I look to the Internet to freely discuss my enjoyment of it.

Lol I saw some Sailor Moon when I was a kid, and I hated it. Looking back, I kinda want to watch it again, just to see what it really is about. People say it's actually good makes me curious to watch it. Haven't seen Great Teacher Onizuka yet, but I want to.

I remember this one 4th of July back in middle school where a bunch of guys and I were playing video games and taking a break. When I noticed it was time for Sailor Moon, I quietly head to the kitchen to watch it. My friends pop by to grab some snacks saw me watching the show. The next thing I know we're talking about our favorite characters. The embarrassing part comes when our dads came by to grab some beers. They were pretty disturbed and question our manhood. That was crazy.

That was an awesome Vice Pit video.

My bad ass character would be Scar (more of the 1st Fullmetal Alchemist anime series). He is a force to be reckoned with.

    Edit:

I don't even discuss anime with my college and highschool buddies or on Facebook. It's pretty much Anime Vice and Twitter where I can feel comfortable talking about anime.

@metalsnakezero: 12 eps? I'm sold. I'll be watching it after I get done with the first box set of the original Dirty Pair TV show.

@takashichea: Consider us your anime discussing friends...or as friendly as waves of energy vibrating at the proper frequency visually transmitted through a high volume information conduit can be friends. SCIENCE!!!

I watched most of the other Vice Pit videos, and so far, this was the most enjoyable! Keep at it, Tom and company! :)

But to be on topic, my mast emberassing anime-related moment was when someone passed by when I was donning an laptop background of Rose trying to co-pilot Rachel's mech in the Red Garden: Dead Girls OVA. They thought it was a scene from a random hentai. I tried to explain about the background, but no dice at all.

My badass character happens to be Hagi of Blood+ because of his battles. Him being a cello player only made him more awesome on my book.

Maybe sometime. There's so much anime and only so many hours, you know? Somebody said there was a ton of cosplay for it at AX.

Huh. I'd honestly say Mugen was more of a badass. Goes to show how much the show has to offer.

Yeah... you do kind of have to watch those shows in a locked room.

Appreciate it! We're amping up with each one of these.

Good to know AV can be this safe refuge for you guys! Scar's another kickass character - - a lot like Akuma.

Here's a question to Alexei: as a lover of mecha, have you watched Nanoha franchise? As a magical show, it takes advantage of many mecha tropes down to the Sunrise sword pose.
