The Zaku II improved on the Zaku I's design, and is the main weapon in the Zeon Army. The Zaku II has made many appearances in more than just the original Mobile Suit Gundam. It is seen in the game, Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, and in the anime/manga Turn A Gundam
The Zaku II is the Principality of Zeon's primary combat Mobile Suit. It has many variations on the design, but the standard configuration is the MS-06F. It saw combat throughout the majority of the One Year War. Some Zeon remnants would continue to use the Zaku II even until the Gryps Conflict and the First Neo Zeon War. It was the premier combat machine of the Zeon forces until the development of later models like the MS-09 Dom and MS-14 Gelgoog. Many ace Zeon pilots started in the Zaku II, for example Char Aznable (The Red Comet), Shin Matsunaga (The White Wolf), and Johnny Ridden (The Crimson Lightning). Mobile Suits such as the Zaku II would be key in Zeon's dominance during the early stages of the One Year War.
