Summary

Opening Theme-

"We Are" by Hiroshi Kitadani

This episode Devil Fruits are partially explained.

This episode Nami appears and is the first time she has spoken lines. In the manga she doesn't appear until after Zoro joined Luffy and they left Shell island. The title of the episode "Who's this Beautiful Young Girl" mos likely means Nami.

The safe didn't even seem to be locked. She believed Morgan had the map, but what she finds is a note left from Captain Buggy, the person she actually does steal the map from. However, Buggy had been to the Grand Line before.

Buggy is shown this episode as a shadowed character during Nami's explanation..

Luffy's Jolly Roger is seen for the first time this episode, but is not actually shown in the manga story until after Usopp joins.

In the manga, Coby doesn't give a description of the Grand Line and Red Line. There are technically two great bodies of water that are separated by the Red Line, but these are each separated in half by the Grand Line and Calm Belt. The East Blue and South Blue on one side. The North Blue and West Blue on the other. Ririka mentions that she heard that once you enter the Grand Line you never come back. This line was only in the anime and obviously false since Gold Roger is well known to of survived.

Zoro seems to know Coby was a member of Alvida's pirate crew. Though they had just met.

There is noticeable hypocrisy in the Marine's of Shell Town. Some say they can't trust Coby, but seem to believe the town's people can trust them. After doing nothing to stop Morgan from terrorizing the town.

Like Buggy, Shanks is shown as a shadowed form from Luffy's memories.
