Tomorrow will feature the LAST round one battles, so keep an eye out for a LARGE SaiMoe post about the upcoming round two battles! Data via

Today's Battles: 8/31

Sanya V. Litvyak
Sanya V. Litvyak
Nodoka Haramura
Nodoka Haramura
Strike Witch Sanya V. Litvyak shyly magick'd her way to the top of the charts, while Saki's Mako Someya and Negima's Setsuna Sakurazaki battled for second place; Strawberry Marshmallow's Matsuri Sakuragi stewed away back in last place.

Saki may not be set to sweep today, but Nodoka Haramura still won out over her competitors, and by quite a lot. Second place doesn't mean a thing, but it went to To Love-Ru's Yui Kotegawa, with third for Akikan!'s Budoko and last for Maria-sama ga Miteru's Yoshino Shimazu.

Rena Ryuuguu

Tomoki Sawamura

Rena Ryuuguu, of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, snatched up another victory over Saki, this time Saki's Satomi Kanbara, leaving Akaneiro ni Somaru Saka's Nagomi Shiraishi and Hyakko's Ayumi Nonomura way behind in the dust.

But there's another battle left, and it went to-- you guessed it --Saki's Tomoki Sawamura. The remaining three, Shugo Chara!'s Miki, Fresh Pretty Cure!'s Love Momozono, and Combat Butler Hayate's Mrs. Katsura, were all within 70 points of one another, which is pretty surprising.

Actually, I'm surprised that Mrs. Katsura wasn't at least a bit more popular (she took last place). I thought there was a lot of fuss over the MILF...

Tomorrow's Battles: 9/01

And the final group 1 battles are...

  1. Rosario + Vampire's KURUMU KURONO vs A Certain Magical Index's THE SISTERS vs Hetalia AxisPowers' LIECHTENSTEIN vs Ga-Rei Zero's YOMI ISAYAMA
  2. Maria-sama ga Miteru's SACHIKO OGASAWARA vs Kannagi's ZANGE-CHAN vs Saki's KAORI SENOU vs Zero no Tsukaima's TABITHA
  3. Saki's JUN INOUE vs Natsu no Arashi!'s Sayoko Arashiyama vs Yku Wakaru Gendai Mahou's YUMIKO CHRISTINA ICHINOSE vs Sgt. Frog's ANGOL MOA
  4. White Album's RINA OGATA vs Seto no Hanayome's AKENO SHIRANUI vs Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu's SHIINA AMAMIYA vs Strawberry Marshmallow's CHIKA ITOU

My Predictions: Tough to predict these, a lot of characters I don't know. If you're curious about Liechtenstein, she's like, the one female character in Hetalia-- which is considerably more popular with men than women so I'd be surprised if she did well. No, for the first battle I'd bet on succubus Kurumu or orphan Yomi. Battle #2, I think Zange'll take it, but I don't want to count out Saki's Kaori (and, frankly, Tabitha is pretty pompular too-- but Zero no Tsukaima hasn't aired in a while). I'm going to bet on Jun or Yumiko for #3, and for the final round one battle...sigh, another tough one. Chika or Shiina.

Your Turn!

I don't think I was able to do a single solid one-person prediction for tomorrow. What do YOU think?

Happy Rena won her first round. Love the character she is moi, then again she very non-moi when she starts killing people. For those who are confuse watch the show to understand (it pretty good). But Still I would of voted for her anyways.

Rena is one of the characters that gets a lot of support from both sides of the pond, and is always a contender. I personally don't care much about Higurashi besides how their fans tend to be pretty dogmatic about it.
If I had to guess, it would be Angol Moa, Yomi, Kaori Senou and Chika. Voting for Yomi, Rina, Zange and Yumiko...

Yeah, tomorrow's lineup looks like it could go all sorts of ways. I'm gonna guess Yomi or Kurumu for round 1, Zange for round 2, and no clue on round 3 or 4. Chika Itou for 4 perhaps??

I think you meant to say
"which is considerably more popular with women than men so I'd be surprised if she did well"
I personally don't know any men watching Hetalia and as far as I know, male voters outnumber the female voters in Saimoe...
Anyway, rooting for Yomi!
