Amuro Ray is a New-type from the Universal Century saga of Gundam.

The last remaining member of the Zabi family and heir to the Principality of Zeon. Mineva doesn't embrace the Zeon movement like her family members but instead she desires peace.

Bright Noa is introduced to the Gundam series as a 19 year old Ensign in the Earth Federation. Following the events at Side 7 he would assume command of White Base during the One Year War.

Char Aznable is a Mobile Suit pilot for the Duchy of Zeon, and later becomes one of their leaders in the wake of the deaths of the Zabi family (at his hand).

Crowley Hamon is Ramba Ral's aide, and lover; she helps to coordinate attacks while Ramba Ral is in combat.

The Premier of Zeon, Degwin Sodo Zabi rules the Zeon from Side 3, his children command his army.

The second oldest son to Degwin Sodo Zabi, Dozle is in command of the Zeon Space Attack Force.

Dren is an officer aboard Char's Musai in Mobile Suit Gundam.

After boarding the White Base during the evacuation of Side 3, she joins the medical crew. She also looks after the three young orphans, Katz Hawin, Letz Cofan and Kikka Kitamoto.

Garma Zabi is the youngest of the Zabi family and the commander of the Zeon Earth Attack Force.

General for the Earth Federation Forces

The eldest son of Degwin Zabi, and leader of Zeon.

Haros are multi-purpose companion and helper robots that reappear frequently across various Gundam series.

Hayato is a civilian living on Side 7, and is a neighbor of Amuro Ray. Hayato evacuates with the remaining survivors on Side 7 and ultimately becomes part of the White Base crew.

Kai Shiden is a civilian living on Side 7 at the time it was attacked; subsequently, Kai was transferred on board and made a pilot of the Gun Cannon mobile suit.

The only daughter to Degwin Zabi, and a commander in the Zeon Military

A powerful Newtype found by Char, who takes her under his wing. She ends up piloting the Newtype mobile armor MAN-08 Elmeth.

Lieutenant Matilda Ajan

A citizen living in Belfast, Ireland, who is secretly a spy for the Principality of Zeon. During her time on White Base she began to develop feelings towards Kai.

Mirai Yashima is a civilian and the pilot of White Base after the incident at Side 7.

M'Quve is an officer in the Zeon Army charged with presiding over the Odessa Mining Facility on Earth.

A master of guerilla warfare, who leads the Zeon Special Pursuit Force against White Base and RX-78-2 Gundam.

Ryu Jose was a regular soldier in the Federation, and a positive influence to the irregular crew on the White Base.

Sayla is a civilian that was living on Side 7 at the time when the Zeon attacked, and ultimately became part of the crew on White Base.

Slegger Law is an officer who comes aboard the White Base about midway through the series.

Tem Ray is a Lieutenant in the Earth Federation and the creator of the original RX-78-2 Gundam. He is the father of Amuro Ray.
