So even though the 18-meter Gundam model in Odaiba, Japan has been essentially completed for a little while now, a special unveiling event was held in Japan on Friday night (which was yesterday for us, remember). The event included a performance by Gackt and an intro by Ray Amuro seiyuu Tooru Furuya, and a number of videos have been posted to YouTube.
Here's a pretty solid video of the presentation:
And this video ( via ANN), as far as I can tell, is Gackt narrating while some of his music plays in the background. He doesn't actually show up live-ish until about two minutes in, I think.
What's amazing to me is how relatively quiet the audience is! Can you imagine how freakin' loud American fans would be at an event like this? Ahh, cultural differences...
