You may remember ages ago when we reported that a wedding coordinator, Take and Give Needs, was working with the Green Tokyo Gundam Project to put together weddings at the feet of the 18-meter Gundam standing in Odaiba...but since then, we haven't heard whether anyone actually went for the thing. Insert stereotypical joke about how no bride would ever want her big day at the foot of a life-size monument to one of the greatest toy franchises in the world.
But word is that one lucky couple has, in fact, scheduled their wedding at the Gundam on August 25th, this Tuesday-- out of nearly 550 entrants this July. Kinda surprising, that, but on the other hand, I'D willingly get married at a Gundam. Of course, my mother would slaughter me if I didn't follow such a wedding up with a more...formal affair. Anyway, since the Gundam is only standing through August 31st, it seems unlikely that more weddings will occur there, but I guess we'll see!
