AEUG

Known as the Anti Earth Union Group. The AEUG is a resistance movement formed to fight the dictator-like Titans in space.

A-Laws

An independent secret police of Earth Sphere Federation, having splintered off the main army, answering only to the government. Their mission is to further unify nations. But their ideals and tactics are a facade of oppression, causing destruction to any nation that doesn't submit to the ESF.

Amputee

A character that has had one or more of his/her limbs completely severed.

Back to life

Also known as resurrection. This is when a previously dead character is restored back to life.

Bad Ass Fight Scene

A fight scene or epic battle that stands above the norm of what the series offers and goes down in history as one of the best combat encounters in the series. The perfect combination of epicness and animation.

Bath Scene

One of the most common forms of fanservice in all anime. Bath scenes can show bonding between characters, but are more often used as just an excuse to exploit a female character.

Betrayal

Betrayal is the act of treachery or a violation of a trust or allegiance. This can be to one's friends, country, or God.

Bitch Slap

A slap with a flat open hand against someone's cheek (most common). This is sometimes performed during an argument.

Boxing

Boxing is a sport and form of martial arts, where people use nothing but there fist to fight.

Brother and Sister

A male and a female member of a family that share the same parents.

Brothers

Male characters that share the same parents.

Celestial Being

Celestial Being is a private, paramilitary organization whose goal is the complete eradication of war. It pursues this by sending Gundams to intervene with all armed conflicts by destroying forces on both sides.

Clown

A performer who wears colored wigs, stylistic makeup, outlandish costumes, unusually large footwear, and red nose.

Code of Honor

Many characters in anime/manga live by a personal or structured code of honor.

Cool character

Someone who remains calm in most of the situations. Even in the middle of battle.

Corrupt Leaders

Power corrupts. Bureaucratic power (especially tied to other powers) is no exception.

Crazy

Characters with serious long mental unstabilities. They're sometimes simply weird but recently they're portrayed as downright homicidiacs. Not to be confused with the Mentally Unstable where the character fights against it and usually wins.

Cross-Dressing

The act of wearing clothes commonly associated with the opposite gender.

What someone does when upset/sad. Sometimes people can also cry from sheer joy.

The imaginary events that goes on in your head when you are asleep. In some anime's they can bring important messages or to haunt a person.

Drowning

Drowning is death from suffocation (asphyxia) caused by a liquid entering the lungs and preventing the absorption of oxygen leading to cerebral hypoxia and cardiac arrest.

Drunk

Someone who loves to consume alcohol, and typically overdoes it.

Enemy Love Interest

The protagonist's love interest is either a member of the enemy faction or the main antagonist of the series.

Episode Recap

Basically a short summary of past events told in one episode.

Explosion

Explosions are featured in a wide array of anime/manga, created from various weapons/attacks.

Fighter

The character knows well how to defend him or herself.

Fighting Dirty

Sometimes its the only way to win a fight, and sometimes characters just have no honor. Either way these characters don't like to play fair.

Flashback

Used frequently in Anime to either recap past events or provide a back story for a character, either their origin story or their off-screen training of new attack. Sometime and entire episode/chapter would be a entire flashback.

Fog

Fog is a collection of water droplets or ice crystals suspended in the air at or near the Earth's surface. It is used in animes or manga to build a atmospheric element.

The scientific process of messing with the genetics of an organism.

An act when someone gives up something of great importance for a greater good.

Kidnapping

Capturing and carrying away a person against their will and holding them in false imprisonment .

Kissing

Kissing is the act of pressing your lips to the body of another person. This can be on the cheeks, head, hand, but more commonly to another person's lips.

Le Creuset Team

The Le Creuset Team is a special forces team of the ZAFT military commanded by Rau Le Creuset.

Death of a major character.

A couple who have made an official vow to stay together.

Seen in just about every form of anime at least at one point. The key component that makes Shounen popular among boys. As well as Ancient art in itself

Generally refers to a large, usually humanoid weapon-type robot, usually piloted from within.

Mech Pilot

A mech pilot is an occupation (mostly for humans) who are well trained in operating advance machinery/robotics armed with various weapons and functions.

The force of defense and offense of a nation. Are mostly equiped with the best weapons that the nation can provide.

A woman who has given birth to or raised a child.

A undead corpse wrapped in bandages

In Gundam's Universal Century, a Newtype is a human with an evolved sense of awareness and ability. Amuro Ray is the most well known of Newtypes.

Operation Meteor is the plan to send five Gundams to Earth from the various colonies disguised as meteors.

The act of controling an individual, making him preform actions at your will.
