Origin

MM's real name is Mishima Mei, the daughter of the Mishima Electronics Company. For a yet unknown reason, she stole the Nano Ball along with the Kemeko battle suit. Upon escaping, she sought out Sanpeita Kobayashi to protect him from Mishima and has sworn to be his bride. Though similar, is she the girl from Sanpetai's memories.

Creation

MM is a lead character in the series Kemeko Deluxe! that was created by Masakazu Iwasaki. The series first began serialization in Dengeki Comic Gao! magazine on October 27, 2005. She has a petite but curvacious body, wild-pink hair, and green eyes. She spends most of her time within the Kemeko suit.

Her first appearance was in Kemeko Deluxe! Volume 1 CH. 1, and her first anime appearance was in Kemeko Deluxe! - Episode 1 "The Steel Bride". Her character in the Japanese series is voiced by Haruka Tomatsu. The series has not been licensed by any publisher or distributor in the U.S.

Character Evolution

MM's personality is both defiant yet bashful. In the beginning of the series she suddenly appears in Sanpeita's life claiming to be his bride while in the Kemeko power suit. She forced her way into his school as the assistant teacher to his class in order to protect him, but refuses to tell him anything about why she's there or why Mishima is after him. Inside the suit, MM has an outlandish and bold personality. She is desperate to hold onto the Kemeko suit since she feels that she would be powerless to do anything without it. Tentatively, she starts to come out of the suit, but only opens up enough to tell Sanpeita her name is "MM". Later in the series when Sanpeita has learned her real name and asked why she would always hide in the Kemeko suit. She shyly admitted it was because that she's so sexy that she didn't think Sanpeita would think he deserved her.

MM and the Kemeko battle suit

MM has a variety of technology, but she has no powers of her own. She is completely dependent on the Kemeko suit for battle. In this suit she has enhanced strength and a variety or weapons and model upgrades for a variety of situations. While in the suit, her personality changes wildly. Despite the small size of Kemeko, the tall MM can fit her entire body with in the battle suit.
