One of the "normal" DearS.
Miu is a upstanding member of the DearS community, as such, it was planned for her to take up a homestay with an elderly couple and attend high school. That is of course, until Ren shows up and is accepted into the high school because the school was only expecting one DearS. At this early point in the story, Miu comes across as a stuck up snob. Especially in regards to how much she feels the need to compete with Ren. But more on that later. As a "normal" DearS, ergo, one that doesn't have an identification number that starts with zero, Miu is quite bright right from the get go, as compared to Ren that must learn practically everything from scratch. Back to what was mentioned about Miu's fierce competative relationship with Ren (fierce for Miu anyway) this competitiveness only increases to a fever pitch when Miu starts to fall in love with Takeya (gee, who didn't see that coming). The amusing bit about Miu, and even Ren, falling in love, is that they both have not the slightest idea what they are feeling. While Ren doesn't stress about it overmuch, Miu agonizes over what she's feeling for at least six chapters before the answer gets thrown in her face. Contrary to what might be asumed with Miu being the "other girl" she is actually the first out of Ren and her to kiss Takeya on purpose, even if she gets stupidly flustered afterwards.
