1942- . Born in Osaka, Okazaki's first credit was on Mushi Production's Astro Boy series in 1964. His subsequent work demonstrates his fame as a chief director on TV productions, including Little Witch Sally, Star of the Giants, Spooky Kitaro, and Aim for the Ace. His movie debut came with the theatrical spin-offs of Doctor Slump (1984), on which he had also worked as a TV director.
