A hapless and somewhat delusional girl from Kimi no iru Machi. She is a classmate of Asuka and Haruto.
When Mina Nagosha asked her classmate Asuka if she'd like to come to a school festival she'd been invited to, she found her hands seized up by another classmate Haruto, who insisted that she take him instead. While Haruto's only goal was to make contact with his elusive former girlfriend who attended the school, his eagerness gave Mina the impression that he was infatuated with her. Thus was born a misapprehension that lasted years.
Deeply flattered by his attention, and moved by Haruto's innate talent for making women feel sorry for him, Mina began to harbour romantic feelings towards him herself. On top of taking Haruto's request the wrong way, Mina had a worrying trend of misinterpreting much of what Haruto said and did, often to her own detriment. Though she apparently gave up on Haruto when he and Asuka began dating, running into him years later at college her interest was rekindled thanks to learning that he had split up with Asuka and her continued habit of misinterpreting his words. She came to believe that he had been in love with her all this time, reawakening her own romantic inclinations towards him.
Mina is girly, yet hard-headed, and has some very concrete ideas about what is expected of a man seeking or in a relationship. She is a girl who very much knows what she wants, but doesn't really understand what's going on. Although she is on first name basis with Asuka, the two share few scenes.
Mina is petite and thin, with straight hair that varies between chin and shoulder length. Clothing wise she tends to favour a sun-dress with an unbuttoned blouse over it, or jeans and a cardigan. In school, her uniform was a plain white shirt, with a striped tie and a pleated blue skirt. Mina's hair is quite light, and is often mistaken for blonde due to the series black and white art, but when it depicted in colour it is either a light brown, or auburn.
