Teito Klein's best and first friend, from 07-Ghost. Mikage is cheerful, kind-hearted, and playful, often teasing of Teito.
Mikage comes from a family of stewards, and eventually joined the military in order to protect them. When he joins the Barsburg Military Academy, Mikage becomes Teito Klein's first and only friend. Mikage constantly teases Teito about his height, in return, Teito often beats up Mikage. Despite being picked on for being Teito's friend (as Teito was a slave), Mikage retains a happy and carefree personality.
After Teito Klein escapes from prison, after attacking Ayanami, Mikage, being Teito's only friend at the time, is taken in by Ayanami and his team. Mikage is then forced to choose between saving his family, and saving Teito. Mikage then is let free and follows Teito to the Seventh District and to the church, where the two friends reunite. Teito tells Mikage about his life at the church and how he cannot go back to the military due to the fact that he is the son of the late king of the Raggs Kingdom. Mikage trusts Teito to make the right decision and all seems well.
Suddenly Mikage begins to act strange, almost in agony. He asks Teito to kill him, as Ayanami has control over Mikage's body. Teito refuses and Mikage attacks his friend. Teito tries to run away, but Mikage, still controlled by Ayanami, continues to attack his friend. When Teito still refuses to fight his friend, one of the Seven Ghosts, Zehel, arrives. It is revealed that Ayanami took away half of Mikage's soul, and replaced it with half of a Kor's. There is no way for Zehel, the bishops, or Teito to save Mikage. Zehel is forced to kill Mikage in order to save Teito and the church.

Mikage/Burupya
Teito believes that his friend will never return to him, and slips into a deep depression claiming that Mikage was "my light". Bishop Frau soon enters Teito's room with a small, purple, fluffy dragon with a 'X' shaped scar, like Mikage's. Frau explains that the fyulong dragon is a reincarnation of Mikage, and the dragon fell from it's nest (hence no longer accepted by it's mother). Although the fylong dragon, or Burupya, has no memory of it's past life, it still sits on Teito's shoulder or head.
