Merri Kenwood, "Weddy", was an off the records associate of L. A professional cat burglar. She assists in infiltration and plays the role of one of L's aliases.
Merrie Kenwood spent the majority of her time in the Death Note series going by the alias of "Weddy". He had been an assistant to L for some time in the past during his investigations. L has two separate aliases as the detectives Eraldo Coil and Mary Kenwood. This is in case someone wished to find L they would likely try and hire these two aliases. Merrie plays the role of Mary Kenwood.
Merrie is a professional cat burglar by trade. She was brought into the Task Force to catch the mass murder Kira as part of L's investigation. This eventually focused on the company call The Yosutsuba Group, a cabal of eight members who one was believed to be the kill Kira.
Merrie infiltrated the company buildings to plant surveillance devices, and later removed all evidence when Touta Matsuda, a member of the task force, sneaked into the building and got himself caught. After she plated the bugs and cameras in the cars and home of Kyosuke Higuchi, the man who was the Kira of the Yotsuba Group. Merrie also removed all the video evidence of Matsuda from the building. This proved to of saved Matsuda since after Higuchi was suspected of being Kira. Higuchi had made the deal for the Shinigami Eyes and tried to find footage of Matsuda on the surveillance tapes of the Yotsuba building.
Cause of Death
After L was finally murdered through the manipulations of Light Yagami. It was not too long afterward that Light killed Merrie Kenwood by causing her to have a fatal accident on her motorcycle.
