Mayumi Tendo

Overview

Mayumi Tendo is a character in Battle Royale. She is among the students in the class forced to take part in the program. However, once the Battle Royale begins, she is the first to die by the hand of a fellow student. Shortly after leaving the school in which the students had been corralled, she is shot by classmate Yoshio Akamatsu with a crossbow. Shortly thereafter, Shuuya Nanahara encounters her as she dies.

In the original novel and the manga adaptation, Mayumi is shot in the back. In the film, the crossbow bolt pierces her neck.
