One of the three orphaned children that Eureka adopted as her son.
Maurice is the eldest of the three children that Eureka had adopted before the series began. As time goes on, it is revealed that he and the other two were part of a group of people that Eureka had gunned down while still working for the military. Having remorse for seeing the three in such a state of fear, she tries to take them in. Maurice, at a young age, tries tofight back but finds Eureka's embrace to be something soothing. He goes along with her in the Nirvash back to the Gekko and calls Eureka his mother.
Despite this, he knows full well what happened to his real parents as he confronts Eureka later on in the series, claiming he shot his real mother. However, he does not care as he loves Eureka and is jealous of how much time she spends with Renton as opposed to him, going so far as to hold Renton at gunpoint, wanting things to go back to normal. Eureka calms him down and he realizes that Renton is a vital part of his life, being one of the first to call him his father. At the end of the show, it is shown that Maurice has Renton's old jacket, as a sign of adoration and respect.
